The SunEpoxy 54 epoxy coating is used in a wide variety of applications, including warehouses, light manufacturing plants, residential garages, auto repair shops, and even on interior floors. These epoxies add color and style to a variety of floor types, while also protecting the flooring. Cleanup is easy thanks to the finished product, a smooth texture that makes fast work of spills and splatters. This epoxy is an ideal solution for applications where a thin painted surface will not hold up. SunEpoxy is an entry level epoxy, and it will give you outstanding durability for foot traffic, vehicular traffic, abrasions and chemical spills.
Features and benefits:
- It creates a seamless floor with no grout or cut lines
- It is very low odor
- It has low volatile organic compounds (VOC’s)
- It is chemical resistant to a wide range of materials like fats, oils – even red wine!
- It is resistant to a wide range of chemicals, abrasions and impacts
- It features a wide array of economical resinous flooring options
Where to use it: The application of SunEpoxy can be varied to create surfaces from aggressively slip-resistant, ideal for wet areas such as showers and food preparation areas, to an “orange peel” type of texture suitable for offices, hallways or laboratories.
The addition of SunFlek – quartz beads – or SunChips – solid or multi-colored vinyl acrylic paint chips – will enhance the texture of the flooring and increase the aesthetics of these dynamic concrete coating solutions.
How it’s done: A brush or roller can be used to apply all coats of SunEpoxy. After application of the first bond coat, an optional seeding of chips or quartz beads can be added. This will add slip resistance and provide a decorative seamless floor. Then a second top-coat is applied which will encase the effects.
